I am pleased to announce I have been asked to contribute towards The New Women of MARVEL Sketch Card Series! I will be joining such luminary Artists as Adam Hughes, Joe Rubinstein, Rich Molinelli, & Mahmud Asrar, to have worked on this series. Each Card will be a one-off hand drawn SketchaFEX Card, featuring the most Fun, Devious, Dangerous & Powerful Women from the Marvel Universe. There will be an Original 1-of-a-kind Sketch Card in every box, alongside all kinds of other goodies! So keep a look out! I'm going to have fun! Another Weekend, another show though this time it was local. The Memorabilia show was the 1st venue I ever sketched in Public. Though this was way back when The 'Draw The World Together' Charity was there sponsored by NCSOFT. Back then I was drawing under the charities banner with requests from City of Heroes.
ALSO NOW AVAILABLE IN LARGE A2 SIZE THE CLASSIC GENERATION ONE TRANSFORMERS PRINT!
I had an early start for this years Cardiff show. I would usually drive, but this time I grabbed a Cross Country Train down to the show. Although this meant an early start, I got the chance to see parts of the country I had not seen before. That is the nice thing about doing new shows in new ways, you get to see things from new angles. It is always good to learn doing this job, which is something I hope I am continually doing. I arrived at the Show 10 minutes before opening to be greeted by the friendly staff & a long queue waiting around the block, some in cosplay as their favorite characters. Others just wanting to get something involving their favorite characters. Which is where I come in. I had a nice mix of requests this time. Especially as much of them were characters I actually love myself. Getting to draw things I enjoy is one of the best aspects of this job.
This Weekend I will be heading back up to the Big Apricot. (As I would like it to be known!) For The London Super Comic Convention. Based in the Excel Centre alongside the Docklands this promises to be one hell of a show. With the biggest creators in Comics from around the world this will be the mecca for all Comics aficionados. The doors open at 9.00 on Saturday morning for early entry, so remember to be bright eyed & busy tailed. You will find me in the Artists Alley at Table C28 on the far wall to your left. Just before you get to the half way point. You could always run down the middle isle & look that big Optimus Prime banner! Pre-orders will be able to be picked up from the morning, and if you have a sketch request come to me 1st thing, as I get full up pretty quick and can only do a limited amount on each day. Spider-Man versus Dr. Octopus, the Fantastic Four versus Dr. Doom, the X-Men versus Magneto -- the Marvel Universe was built on epic encounters of good fighting evil. That's the focus of 2013 Marvel Greatest Battles, a set that boasts a pair of sketch cards in every box. I am pleased to announce I will be one of the contributing Artists to this great set. The 2013 base set has 90 cards that center on the biggest match-ups in the company's rich history. These battles really are the centerpiece of it all. Without Red Skull, there would be no Captain America. Thor would be less interesting if it were not for Loki. Comic fans would have a lot less to talk about if it weren't for the occasional match-up pitting hero against hero, like The Incredible Hulk vs The Ever Loving Thing. Every 2013 Rittenhouse Marvel Greatest Battles box comes with a pair of sketch cards that fit together to make a puzzle. Every puzzle has a minimum of two characters. So look out what's coming from me & the House of Ideas in 2013! |
